• www.aiesec.org - International Association of Economic and Management Students(AIESEC) facilitates international exchanges of students and recent graduates for paid traineeships or volunteers in nonprofit organizations. Exchanges are offered in business management, technology, and development.
• www.aipt.org - Through its Career Development Exchange Program, the Association for International Practical Training (AIPT) helps graduates and professionals from eighteen to thirty-five years old arrange professional training overseas. Professionals need to have relevant work experience, students must have relevant course work, and both need to be proficient in the local language. Training programs are offered in the fields of business, culinary arts, architecture, teaching, finance, and more.
• www.cdsintl.org or www.cdg.de - The Carl Duisberg Society/Carl Duisberg Gesellschaft (CDS) offers college students, recent graduates, and young professionals under thirty several ways to gain professional work experience. CDS issues work permits valid for up to eighteen months and will assist you with finding a job.
• www.euronet.nl/users/itw - International Training Centre for Women (ITW) is designed to address the needs of women worldwide in the areas of management, entrepreneurship, training, skill development, consultancy, and research. They offer a four-week core program and a six-week extended course in the Netherlands taught in English.

• www.cdc.org - Citizens Democracy Corps (CDC)/MBA Enterprise Corps. Volunteers are generally active managers or owners of their own businesses, and choose to volunteer several months of their time to help and mentor small- and medium-sized businesses. If you don’t have extensive senior-level business experience, but are in the process of obtaining an MBA, the MBA Enterprise Corps (www.mbaec-cdc.org) is a smart way to help businesses in other countries while putting your theoretical knowledge to use.
• www.ciee.org - Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) International Volunteer Project. CIEE has over eleven hundred volunteer and work projects in over twenty-five countries. The goal of CIEE’s International Volunteer Project is to promote international cooperation and understanding. Council sponsors community service and volunteer projects in thirty countries for participants from all nationalities, ages eighteen and up (the average age is twenty to twenty-five).
• www.crossculturalsolutions.org - Cross Cultural Solutions is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing humanitarian assistance to China, Ghana, India, Russia, and Peru. Each month twelve to eighteen volunteers are sent overseas to work on grassroots projects for two weeks to six months.
• www.concernamerica.org - Professionals trained in medicine, health, nutrition, education, sanitation, agro-forestry and technology can apply their skills at Concern America to help refugees in Latin America and Africa for up to two years. Your basic expenses will be paid and you'll receive a small stipend upon returning home.
• www.globalcitizens.org - Global Citizens Network (GCN) seeks to create a network of people who are committed to the shared values of peace, justice, tolerance, cross-cultural understanding, and global cooperation; to the preservation of indigenous cultures, traditions, and ecologies; and to the enhancement of the quality of life around the world. Cross-cultural volunteer expeditions are available to people of all ages, including families, in a variety of group sizes.
• www.globalroutes.org - Through Global Routes, high school and college students can volunteer and intern in Costa Rica, Ecuador, Ghana, Kenya, Thailand and on the Navajo Reservation. • www.iesc.org - The International Executive Service Corps (IESC) is the world’s biggest nonprofit business development organization. Its mission is to help small and medium-size businesses in emerging markets increase their competitiveness.
• www.kibbutzprogramcenter.org - The Kibbutz Program Center offers individuals and couples ages eighteen to twenty-eight a chance to study Hebrew and work on a kibbutz.
• www.sci-ivs.org - Service Civil International–International Voluntary Service (SCI-IVS USA) organizes international work camps and medium/long-term volunteer projects worldwide. A work camp is a group of two to twenty international volunteers who assist a community with a project for two to three weeks, mostly during the summer months. The medium- to long-term volunteer projects run from one to twelve months year-round.
• www.unv.org - If you have at least seven years of solid work experience, you are eligible for the United Nations Volunteer Program (UNV) in international development, projects that involve feasibility studies, employee training, workshop organization, company advising, banking, health and safety support, environmental management, industrial design, and more.
• www.volunteerabroad.com - Volunteer Abroad is an excellent directory of international volunteer programs that seems to target the student market.
• www.volunteerinternational.org - International Volunteer Programs Association (IVPA) sends individuals or groups abroad periodically and for various lengths of time to work as volunteers, interns, or lay missionaries. You can choose to search the database by world region, country, type of work, or project duration.

Environmental Protection and Research Volunteering

• www.coralcay.org - Coral Cay Conservation (CCC) offers conservation expeditions in Honduras, Borneo, the Philippines, the Seychelles, the Red Sea, and the Mediterranean for volunteers ages sixteen to seventy. The goal of the program is to help alleviate poverty by providing countries with the information they need to protect and sustain their tropical forests and coral reefs.
• www.earthwatch.org - Earthwatch Institute supports scientific research and promotes global citizenship and education for a sustainable planet. Earthwatch is a worldwide scientific research expedition for people ages sixteen to eighty-five who are driven by a desire to know how the world works and how they can help make it work better.
• www.globalservicecorps.org - In the Global Service Corps (GSC), you work on community service projects and live with local residents while learning about the host country. Volunteers must be undergraduate or graduate students, twenty years or older. 

Health Volunteer Programs

• www.doctorswithoutborders.org - Doctors Without Borders (MSF) delivers emergency medical care to communities and victims of armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters, and others who lack decent health care due to geographic or social isolations.
• www.hvousa.org - Health Volunteers Overseas (HVO) organizes over forty educational projects in twenty developing countries with the goal of improving the quality of the local health care. HVO volunteers must be qualified and experienced professionals and retirees.
• www.peacework.org - Peacework’s Medical Volunteer Program arranges international volunteer projects focused on medicine, community health, and nutrition.

Humanitarian Relief and Service Volunteer Programs

• www.concernamerica.org - Through Concern America, professionals in the fields of medicine, health, nutrition, health education, adult literacy, sanitation, agroforestry, technology, and community organization can volunteer to help refugees in Latin America and Africa.
• www.habitat.org - Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is a Christian organization with affiliates in over sixty countries devoted to providing decent, affordable housing for families worldwide.
• www.heifer.org - Heifer Project International (HPI) is dedicated to ending world hunger and poverty by providing families with the animals they need to become self-reliant.
• www.interaction.org - InterAction: American Council for Voluntary International Action provides free information and advice on finding employment with nonprofit organizations, and for a fee, job resources for working with nonprofit international organizations.
• www.unv.org/unvols - The United Nations accepts qualified volunteers from many countries to work in the following areas: technical cooperation for development, community projects, humanitarian relief and rehabilitation, electoral rights, human rights, and peace-building initiatives.
• www.vfp.org - Volunteers for Peace, Inc. (VFP) organizes work-camp programs linking volunteers to work-camp hosts in seventy countries in an effort to promote intercultural education and community service.

Teaching English Volunteer Programs

• www.peacecorps.gov - The Peace Corps offers one of the best overseas experiences  available. Teaching English is the Peace Corps’s most popular program, but it is by no means the only one. Two-year volunteer opportunities are also available in business, environment, health, agriculture, and community development.
• www.volasia.org - VIA/Asia Public Service and Educational Exchange Programs (VIA and formerly Volunteers in Asia) sends thirty to forty English teachers, ages eighteen to eighty, to Indonesia, Laos, Vietnam, and China every year.
• www.worldteach.org - At WorldTeach, you can make a valuable contribution to communities throughout Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, and Africa by teaching a life skill that will open doors of opportunity.

Volunteering Online

• www.netaid.org - You can search Netaid.Foundation.org’s database of volunteer opportunities by professional skills, language skills, topics of interest, and regional preferences.
• www.vita.org - Volunteers in Technical Assistance (VITA) supports entrepreneurs in particular and facilitates information exchange between individuals and organizations. Volunteers provide technical assistance from their own home or office, but are not sent overseas.

• www.joseph-oliver.com - The folks at Joseph Oliver Ltd. are experts at wealth management for high net worth expatriates, foreign nationals and international investors. As off-shore specialists, they advise on all aspects of tax planning, as well as offer a comprehensive array of investment services.

• www.bunac.org - Through BUNAC's exchange program for students and young people, you could spend a year doing a variety of short-term jobs in New Zealand while taking time to tour the country. BUNAC also offers programs to work up to six months in Britain and four months in Australia. For more details on taking part in these work abroad programs, contact BUNAC.
• www.cdsintl.org - The Carl Duisberg Society (CDS) offers work visas, training programs, scholarships and fellowships for American students to gain professional work experience in Germany in their fields of specialization. • www.jobpilot.com - Using jobpilot.com, one of Europe's top job search engines, you can post your CV online, search for global jobs, get resume tips and interviewing advice. Job listings cover internships, freelance and contracting work, entry level and graduate jobs, and permanent positions.
